the kind of stuff you find in your bathroom when you’re a parent.
Quinn’s completely matter-of-fact explanation:
“American Bear doesn’t know how to use the potty yet.”

now with moving pictures.
I’m testing the video upload function and YouTube integration of this here blog thingie, so here’s a short vignette from this morning’s play-related activities in my office.
(For those not interested in watching two kids playing on a bed, this will not be an item of great and compelling importance.)

observation and emulation.
Meet American Bear:
American Bear is Quinn’s favorite stuffed companion. She got her name from the knitted sweater she wears, which has an American flag on it. (Quinn picked AB’s gender once he was old enough to understand the difference between boy and girl.)

toy gun control.

This morning, I took the kids out to the farm after breakfast to get milk and eggs. We got our dairy for the week, petted doggies, looked at roosters, and had lollipops and cherry sodas. Then we went for a little drive along Mascoma Lake, went [...]

goggle boy.
He just needs a cape, a buzzcut, and a hot air balloon, and he’ll be a four-year-old Cory Doctorow.

off to the tooth doctor.
We’re off to town this morning, for Quinn’s First Dentist Visit Ever. He’s actually excited. (We’ll see how he feels about his second dentist visit.)
I’ll post something more substantial later. In the meantime, here’s a picture of a little girl in a ball cap. (She claimed my Red Sox lid and has been wearing it [...]
