good riddance, indeed.

If the air seems a little cleaner to you today, it’s because Richard Cooey, rapist and murderer, got to ride the Drano Express at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, at 10:28 this morning.

Guess he wasn’t too fat for them to find a vein, after all.

(H/T to Breda.)

    Good riddance to nauseating rubbish.

I bet he’ll be voting for Obama in the upcoming election.

Too bad it wasn’t real Drano.

I have always thought that the form of Execution should fit the crime.

I agree with the death penalty in theory, but after seeing how many people are wrongly convicted of lesser crimes, and reports of how many police officers and attorneys are willing to lie to get convictions, it makes me realize that we have, in all probability, executed at least one, possibly several, innocent men. That is truly horrific. I don’t know how to fix that, but I think it needs to be looked at. At least this does not appear to be the case here, as Mr. Cooey never claimed to be innocent, and was not once apologetic for what happened. Good riddance.

Reading the comments on the report that you linked to, several comments indicated that we should sell tickets to an execution by hanging and make a spectacle of it. I would guess that these people have never actually watched someone die, especially not a violent death. I have. When you have seen it once, you will not care to ever see it again, unless you are one sick individual.
