and this is why we have the internets.

I’m reasonably confident the following sentence from this news article has never been used before, and will most likely never be used again:

A German student “mooned” a group of Hell’s Angels and hurled a puppy at them before escaping on a stolen bulldozer.

If you can read that combination of words without your Weird-Shit-O-Meter pegging a fair amount, you’ve seen some really bizarre stuff in your lifetime.

    I’d pay to see that.

The main difference between fiction and reality is that fiction has to make sense.

  3. Fred2 says:

Yes, in fiction he’d gets his pasty arse, erm, spanked by the local Hell’s.

In reality the bemused Hells probably took care of the puppy, and looked at one another with bemused shrug and “let’s not annoy the nutty dude in the bulldozer since he’s drivng _away_. Hallo? Politzei?”

  4. Lissa says:

    My mouth literally dropped open. Hell’s angels . . . “moon” . . . puppy . . . bulldozer . . . WTF?!?!?

Definitely one of the best news stories I have read in awhile.

PS: I’ll be the first (that I’ve seen) to mention it. I LIKE the new layout. Doesn’t kill my eyes and give me a pounding headache.

I’ve been sent that story several times today by friends who know I’m up in Markoland for Bike Week. All I can think is the dude wanted to commit suicide but was too scared/stupid to carry it out himself. Sorta like suicide-by-cop only with Hell’s Angels.

  7. Dave says:

    I think I’ve been broken.

I read your story, saw “hurled a puppy,” and “stolen bulldozer” completely failed to register as, shall we say, atypical.

I’m either a cynic or thoroughly broken. Mind you, that’s OR, not XOR.

  8. My day … you have made it.

    > The puppy is now being cared for
    > in an animal shelter.

I have more empathy for the puppy than either of the other two parties in this.

  10. BobG says:

“The 26-year-old is said to have stopped taking depression medication.”

    Why am I not surprised?

  11. Cliff Smith says:

I like the new layout too.

  12. Randy says:

I do wonder who was more surprised, the puppy or the Hell’s Angels.

I will let the new layout grow on me before deciding. But I will still read what you write.
