what we’re up to this weekend.

We’re currently taking a family weekend at the Scottish Highland Games in Lincoln, NH.  I brought some single malt, but it turns out that’s pretty much like carrying owls to Athens.

The kids are having a blast:

There’s wireless Internets at the hotel, so I may post a few updates.  Our connection at home has been going up and down like a yo-yo for the last few days, which is not very conducive to bloggenings and such.

More later.  Now we have to go stuff ourselves with Scottish food for dinner, and then sample the variety of distilled offerings from that lovely country.

Beware the left-handed haggis. They are known to fight back even after cooking.

Quinn looks ready to kill some Geats!

I went to the highland games in Arlington, Texas this summer. My son wants to take up the caber toss.

I see Quinn has spotted a Claymore.

Enjoy the games. Perfect weather. The fire chief from Holderness will be piping at the hammer throw. She’s pretty good.

  7. Have fun, we go to the Scottish Games closest to us every year. Not found of the Haggis, but meat pies and bridies are delicious.

Damn, they moved the games up a weekend this year. We’ll be in the area next weekend for our anniversary. Make sure you hit the nearby Woodstock Station brewery/restaurant. Good food, and great beer. Hopefully the autumn ale is on tap! http://www.woodstockinnbrewery.com

Marko, I think there’s a law against Tasering your son like that… 🙂
