ice-storms do that.

We got a nasty ice storm. The power is out in most of the Upper Valley. I am posting from the wife’s brand new iPhone…it seems we now get 3G coverage. Gin supplies are holding, and we’re cooking on the wood stove. More later.

Are the troops getting restless yet?

Cooking on a wood stove and bouncing radio signals to space…

What a fascinating modern world we live in!🙂

Did you get the gerbil generator wheel yet? So you can fuel the munchkins with sugar (bio fuel) to get electricity? 😀

3G fast enough to play WOW? Hope you have power for all your mobile devises or that they were all fully charge.

My girlfriend got me, in addition to Beer & other items, a duel Blackberry + USB car charger, for Valentines this year.

So even if power is out we can charge both Crackberries at a time from one car. Can also charge my Kindle or anything else that has USB charger.
I remember the Halloween storm in ’91 here. Was out of power for over a day for me & I was one of the lucky ones.

  5. Well, looks like Springfield & Plainfield are next on the “fix list”, so that should help you out.
Fire up the genny for a couple hours & you’ll be all good tomorra.

Something to be said for a good diesel generator… Half the fun is running all of your lights while your neighbors languish without juice (for lack of preparation )
