now the universe is really screwing with us.

This handsome red fellow is Sir Bors the Red. He just won the NH Health Care Association’s Volunteer of the Year award.

Bors does rounds at the nursing home with Robin on Wednesdays. It’s quite amazing what kind of positive responses he gets from the residents. A lot of the old folks are very protective about him. One time I stopped by to pick him up for the ride home, and a resident with a walker came shuffling up to the van and wanted to know where I was taking the dog. She had only ever seen him with Robin and wanted to make sure I wasn’t abducting him or anything. I’m fairly convinced she would have started whipping me with her walker if I hadn’t given her a satisfactory explanation.

We also got another bit of news—Robin’s name got plucked from the hat as the winning ticket for our telco’s “Home Connect” sweepstakes. She won a 42” HDTV, a gaming console, a surround sound speaker setup, and six months of credit on the DSL bill. OMG MONDAY CAN YOU STOP SUCKING?

Congrats on winning all that stuff. Did they say which game console you get?

I recognize that look. Wiener dogs are all insane, I’m pretty sure it’s in the AKC breed standard.

As was noted, it is said that these horrors come in threes. Are you foiks sure the missus doesn’t have another bun in the oven?

  8. That’s just awful! Hope the rest of the week is equally bad! 😉

Sounds like you need to go walk behind a black cat or walk under a ladder or something to break this chain. Really.

    Go buy a lottery ticket.

Sir Bors is adorable (named after the Arthurian character?). I think it’s really great that you do that, and I love the story about the woman chasing after you.

    Also, congrats on the win!

Ah. Isn’t Bors the big chickenheart? Still cuddly, though…
